IVF embryo manipulation
Description
Microscope footage of a human embryo being manipulated by a micro-needle and pipette. The embryo is at a very early stage, and consists of just a few cells. This is during an IVF procedure, where the egg cell was fertilised in the laboratory, and the resulting embryo grown in culture and tested before being placed in the mother's uterus to develop.
